Dubai International has more than 15 lounges across Terminals 1, 2, and 3. After visiting most of them, here's our honest ranking — including which Priority Pass options actually deliver.

Dubai International (DXB) is one of the world's busiest airports — and one of the most lounge-rich. With 15+ lounges spread across three terminals, choosing the right one matters. Some are world-class. A few are forgettable. Here's the honest ranking after multiple visits to each.

1. Emirates First Class Lounge (Terminal 3, Concourse A) — Tier S

This is not a lounge. It's a private club masquerading as one. Direct boarding to your A380 from inside the lounge. À-la-carte dining with full white-tablecloth restaurant service. A cigar lounge. A spa with included massages. Chauffeur-driven golf carts to take you to your gate.

Access: Emirates First Class ticket only, or Skywards Platinum with First Class flight. No buying in. Genuinely one of the best premium lounges in the world.

2. Emirates Business Class Lounge (Terminal 3) — Tier A

A massive multi-level space serving Emirates Business Class passengers. Multiple food stations with hot meals, salad bars, and dessert sections. Full bar with premium spirits. Showers. The "Quiet Room" actually stays quiet. Direct gate boarding.

Access: Emirates Business Class ticket, Skywards Gold members, or qualifying partner airline tickets.

3. Marhaba Lounge (Terminal 3, Concourse B) — Tier A-

The best Priority Pass option at DXB by a clear margin. Hot Middle Eastern mezze, made-to-order omelettes, full bar with cocktails, prayer room, and shower facilities. Gets crowded during peak times (7–10 PM and 6–9 AM).

Access: Priority Pass, Lounge Key, DragonPass, or pay AED 285 (~$78) per person walk-up.

Marhaba shower hack

Showers are first-come, first-served and there are only 4 of them. Arrive within the first 20 minutes of your flight's window or expect a wait.

4. Ahlan Business Class Lounge (Terminal 1) — Tier B+

Better than expected for a Terminal 1 lounge. Quieter than the Marhaba options. Hot food selection is decent if not extensive. Showers available. Best if you're flying out of T1 (most non-Emirates carriers).

Access: Priority Pass, Lounge Key, paid entry from AED 200.

5. Plaza Premium Lounge (Terminal 1) — Tier B

A reliable Priority Pass option in T1. Buffet dining, shower facilities, business centre. Smaller than Marhaba but generally less crowded. Good if you want quiet over quality of food.

Access: Priority Pass, Lounge Key, walk-up from AED 230.

6. Qantas Business Lounge (Terminal 1) — Tier B+

Excellent for Qantas/oneworld passengers. The hot food is the best of the partner-airline lounges at DXB. Bar service is generous. Outdoor terrace with views of the runway is a hidden gem most travellers miss.

Access: Qantas Business Class, oneworld Sapphire/Emerald, or qualifying partners.

7. Cathay Pacific Lounge (Terminal 1) — Tier B

Smaller and more limited than expected for Cathay. Asian cuisine focus is good — proper noodle bar, dim sum at peak times. Showers available. Drink selection is the weakest of the listed lounges.

Access: Cathay Business, oneworld Sapphire/Emerald, or qualifying partners.

Lounges to skip

A few DXB lounges are genuinely not worth the visit even with free access:

  • Some smaller airline-specific lounges in T1 — old furniture, poor food
  • Pay-per-use options in T2 (the budget terminal) — the regular gate area is honestly nicer
  • Older Marhaba locations in less-trafficked concourses — go to T3 Concourse B instead

Which lounge for which traveller?

  • Flying Emirates First — the F lounge, no question
  • Flying Emirates Business — the J lounge, easily
  • Priority Pass holder — Marhaba T3 Concourse B
  • Flying oneworld Business — Qantas Business in T1
  • Long DXB layover (6+ hrs) — book a Marhaba for the showers
  • Short DXB layover (under 3 hrs) — closest lounge to your gate, don't overthink

The hot tip

DXB has actual free public showers in Concourse B that almost no one knows about. If your only goal is a shower and you don't care about food, save your lounge visit for another day and use these instead.
